Principal's Report

Dear Parents & Carers,

As we come to the end of another school term, I want to take a moment to reflect on the recent weather events that have impacted our community. The heavy rains, flooding, and disruptions have reminded us of how quickly life can change and how vulnerable we can feel in the face of nature’s power.

In times like these, it’s natural to feel unsettled. Yet, amidst the uncertainty, I’ve been reminded of a powerful passage from the Gospel of Mark 4:39–40:

“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’”

This story of Jesus calming the storm speaks deeply to our current experience. Just as the disciples were overwhelmed by fear in the midst of the storm, we too can feel anxious when life becomes unpredictable. But Jesus’ presence in that moment—and His power to bring peace—reminds us that we are never alone. His calm in the chaos offers us reassurance and hope.

Throughout this term, I’ve seen our school community respond with compassion, resilience, and faith. Families supporting one another and students showing kindness and courage. These are the moments that reflect the heart of our school and the values we hold dear.

As we approach the end of the term, may we carry this message of hope and reassurance with us. Let’s continue to support one another, nurture our children with love and patience, and lean on our faith to see us through.

School resumes Monday 21st July. We look forward to welcoming students back then.

Wishing you and your families a safe and restful break.

Warm regards,

Amy Maslen
