Year 5/6 Excursion
All our awesome 5/6’s went to our adventurous Sydney camp, and this is their experience. The bus ride to Sydney was very fun and long and once we got to Sydney, we went to Mary MacKillop’s place, and we learnt a lot of things there.
After that, we went to the our accommodation at the YHA (Youth Hostel Australia), we had lunch and got ready for 'Pieces of the Past'. At 'Pieces of the Past', we learned about and dug up artifacts.

After that, we had games upstairs on the top level with all the St Josephs, Bulahdelah kids. For dinner, we had a deliciously scrumptious butter chicken, and went back to our room to have some free time, then we had a walk all the way down to the Sydney Opera House. On the way there, we met a lot of talented musicians who were busking, and they were amazing we can’t explain with words how good they were because they were awesome. On the way back we saw a cute, adorable, clumsy seal. Can you believe a seal in the middle of the city? And that was pretty much the end of day one.

On the second day, we had breakfast and got ready for Luna Park, which was awesome and exciting, and we walked across the Harbour Bridge on the way there! The best ride in a lot of children’s opinion was rotor, a ride that just keeps on spinning you around which was very exciting. Then we had lunch which was a ham and cheese a popper and some shapes, after that we got on a bus and drove to YHA. In the evening, we went to an Italian restaurant and watched Bad Guys 2 at the cinema.

On the final day, we had breakfast and packed our bags and got on the bus to visit Parliament House where we got to learn about the upper and lower houses and reenacted how a bill becomes a law. After this, we had lunch at the Botanical Gardens before hoping on the bus and going home.

It was an amazing trip and we looked forward to telling all our school friends and family about it.
