The beginning of Term 2 has been wonderful for Year 5/6! We have been very busy organising the Minnie Vinnie’s ‘Guide Dog Day’ and adjusting to the colder weather. 

In our classroom we have been working on developing literacy skills with group rotations. These groups include working with Miss Jordan on developing writing, read to self, spelling in groups, completing activities on Studyladder and reading novels as a whole class.

We are currently reading Nowhere Boy by Katherine Marsh, a story about a refugee boy who fled from Syria. This aligns nicely to our History Unit about Migration and our class is loving learning about History, not only in Australia but countries all over.
